MEET OUR TEAM
Depa
My name is Depa, I am originally from Mishawaka, Indiana. When I was younger, I traveled the country while I was in the Army. I eventually met my husband who was Air Force and we ended up in Abilene, Texas where we chose to stay. My journey into tattooing began when I had the incredible opportunity to apprentice under a talented artist. From that moment on, I was hooked – tattooing quickly turned into my passion. What I love most about being a tattoo artist is the meaningful connections I get to make with my clients. Some of these connections have blossomed into lasting friendships, and every tattoo I create is a chance to share in someone’s personal story. Whether it’s a cherished memory or a unique design, it’s an honor to help bring those moments to life on skin. Every day, I feel privileged to witness the joy my work brings to clients. The stories they share during the process and the smiles they wear when it’s done make every session worthwhile
Mickey
My name is Michaela, but most people know me as Mickey. My journey with art began in first grade when my teacher taught me how to draw a dog. That moment sparked a lifelong love for creativity, and I’ve been pursuing art ever since. I started my tattooing journey in 2019 but took a brief pause after three months to focus on personal growth and rebuilding my life.
On October 7, 2023, I reignited my passion and resumed my apprenticeship, completing it on September 17, 2024, and officially becoming a tattoo artist. Becoming a tattoo artist was a natural fit for me because art has always been my passion. While I initially considered becoming an art teacher, I decided to take a leap of faith into tattooing, knowing it was the right path. Bringing my art to life on someone’s skin and sharing my knowledge of the craft has been nothing short of a dream come true. What sets me apart as an artist is my ambition to learn, grow, and share my knowledge with others.
I believe tattooing is a gift that should be taught with care and shared generously. Every artist has a unique style and perspective, and I’m passionate about fostering support and collaboration within the tattoo community, just as we see in the broader art world. What I love most about my work is that it doesn’t feel like a job. I have the privilege of meeting incredible clients, helping them feel more confident in their skin, and creating lasting memories through my art. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the joy on someone’s face when they see their new tattoo—it’s a gift I’m honored to give every day.
Kat
My name is Kat, and I am the piercer over at Lovely Bones Tattoo and Piercing Studio. My favorite past time is crafting, reading, studying different piercing techniques, and browsing jewelry. I became a body piercer because I love body modifications. It's been a love of mine since I was a young child. I have always been fascinated with piercings, tattoos, body suspension, scarification, and tongue splitting. I remember seeing these "taboo" displays of art, and just admiring their beauty. I needed to be a part of their world, and have no regrets stepping into this field. The hardest obstacle I have had to face was opening up, and learning how to talk with clients. I can be very outgoing, and personable now. Though it was a trait I had to learn over the years. I feel in this industry, you have to take the time to communicate the risk associated with each piercing, and let your client make the final decision. This sets me apart from others because my first goal is always the safety of the client. I strive for honesty, and a comfortable experience during each consultation and piercing procedure. I love being able to curate an ear, and taking the time to do something unique and fun. I also enjoy piercing nipples, and giving people a comfortable experience.
